This is a step towards more effective development of new technologies and products, building our own know-how, and obtaining patents for innovative solutions. New mobility, hydrogen, recycling or digitalisation in the industry are all areas that can be a driving force not only for the company but also for the economy as a whole. Research on them will be conducted here – says Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin, the Minister of State Assets.

The PKN ORLEN Research and Development Centre is an environmentally friendly place, using the most modern pro-ecological solutions. The photovoltaic panels and wind turbine installed on it and produce green energy. Electric vehicle charging stations are also available on site.

The Research and Development Centre will also function as a modern platform for cooperation between PKN ORLEN and start-ups, inventors, institutes and universities. It is also an opportunity for young scientists and engineers who will gain a solid, innovative European base for the development of their projects. PKN ORLEN’s cooperation network already covers all technical universities in Poland operating within the Company’s area of interest, including the Warsaw University of Technology with its branch in Płock, Gdańsk University of Technology, Warsaw University, Research Institutes and the Łukasiewicz Research Network.
