The Saturday stage of the individual time trial in Katowice brought one change to the podium of the general classification of the Tour de Pologne. Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick Step) has consolidated his lead and is very close to triumphing in the 78th edition. Michał Kwiatkowski (INEOS-Grenadiers) advanced to the third position. The Pole has a good chance to win the sprinters’ classification. One of his rivals is Portuguese.
There is only one stage left until the end of the Tour de Pologne. On Saturday in Katowice, an individual time trial was held (19 km). Frenchman Remi Cavagna (Deceuninck-Quick Step) won the race.
Second place was taken by another rider of the group. Joao Almeida has confirmed that he is the best in this year’s edition. Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Victorious) is now 20 seconds ahead. Michał Kwiatkowski advanced to the third position. He loses 27 seconds to the leader.
