This is how the capital city celebrated Independence Day!

Yesterday, the Independence March passed through the streets of Warsaw. According to organizers’ estimates, more than 100,000 people participated. There were also “Gazeta Polska” Clubs. Check out these great photos and videos.

Participants of the gathering chanted slogans such as “Independence not for sale”, “God, honour and homeland” and “Pride, pride, national pride”. Some balconies in buildings along the route of the march displayed white and red flags, and residents of these premises chanted slogans along with the marchers.

Numerous representatives of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs gathered in the capital. At noon, representatives of “GP” Clubs, together with editor-in-chief Tomasz Sakiewicz, sang the Polish national anthem as part of a nationwide campaign.

“A new world is being created before our eyes. It will depend on us what this new Poland will look like. Will we be left with only an anthem and a flag or will we be a strong state, able to carry the light of the Latin civilization to the West?,” Robert Bąkiewicz said at the beginning of the Independence March. He pointed out that this year’s march is different from all the others.
