Since 2008, the International Charity Bazaar has been the most important annual charity event organized by the SHOM Association in Warsaw, which raises funds to help people in need. More than 50 embassies will participate. The money raised will benefit 25 charities.
In 2019, thanks to the honorary patronage of the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, as well as the great commitment and donations of embassies, the generosity of sponsors and the tremendous support of volunteers, SHOM raised more than 600 000 PLN, which was donated to 25 charities. The event was attended by 4,500 people.
"We are delighted to be able to host the Christmas fair again after several difficult months of social distance and are keen to spread the word about our charity to help the less wealthy people across the country. Our main mission is to raise funds that will benefit the poorer members of Polish society: the elderly, children, women and families in need. Embassies are honoured to share their culture and showcase their traditional products and cuisine. Through this important fundraising event, we bring together a great diversity of cultures that promote harmony and brotherhood between people. We believe that every person has the right to love, happiness, education, care, shelter, food, medicine, clothing and hope. We therefore warmly invite everyone to visit, enjoy food and gifts from around the world and make this charity International Christmas Market a huge success," Nadine Schmit-Konsbruck, President of SHOM, Spouse of the Ambassador of Luxembourg.
The 14th International Charity Bazaar will take place on Sunday, November 28th from 10:00 a.m. at the PGE National Stadium.
