Exactly 30 years ago, on 7 June 1992, at the corner of Marszałkowska and Świętokrzyska streets in Warsaw, there was a long queue. Why? There was an opening of the first McDonald’s restaurant in Poland.

The restaurant was located in central Warsaw on the corner of Marszałkowska and Świętokrzyska streets in the former SEZAM Center.

“Over 45,000 people visited the facility in just a few hours. With a result of 13 304, Poles set a world record in the number of transactions on an opening day. In the first few months, the basic menu includes a burger, double burger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, Big Mac, fries, drinks, ice cream and milkshakes,” McDonald’s informs on its website.

Nowadays, there are nearly 500 McDonald’s restaurants, and at the same time, Poland is in 14th place in the world in terms of locations.
