EuroSkills is an international industry skills competition organized since 2008. It is the first time that Poland has been awarded the honourable title of the organiser of this unique competition, commonly referred to as the "Olympic Games of Professional Competitions." This biggest event in the history of industry education in Poland in September 2023 will be held at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Congress Centre (Żaglowa 11 Street, Gdańsk). Gdańsk is also the organiser of this year's national competition SkillsPoland 2022 (23-25 November), which is a qualification for Polish representatives for EuroSkills 2023.
At EuroSkills the competition will be held in over 50 competitions in 6 areas: information and communication technology, manufacturing and engineering, construction technology, transport and logistics, social and personal services, art and fashion.
Let us remind you that Polish contestants took part in two previous editions of EuroSkills in Budapest (2018) and Graz (2021) winning a total of 3 medals in the cooking, floristry and welding competitions.
Next year's event will feature around 600 competitors and 500 distinguished experts from 31 countries, in competition arenas covering a total area of 60,000 square metres. It is estimated that EuroSkills 2023 will attract over 100,000 spectators from Poland and abroad.
The main goals guiding the idea of WorldSkills for over 70 years have been raising professional qualifications, exchanging good practices and building the image of vocational education. The competition is accompanied by various shows, performances and conferences, and the venue is visited by representatives of leading companies from all over the world in search of potential employees and managers.
