PSPA at EV Experience: electromobility is the biggest breakthrough since the industrial revolution in the 19th century

The crowds of car enthusiasts and representatives of leading global companies that attended last weekend’s EV Experience powered by LG Energy Solution Wrocław event, organised at the Modlin Circuit by the Polish Alternative Fuels Association (PSPA), are proof that electromobility in Poland is shifting into another, higher gear.

2 days of the event, 34 vehicles at the disposal, 27 hours of driving, almost 1.5 thousand test drives for guests, more than 5.5 thousand kilometres covered and over 2 thousand participants. These are just some of the numbers that can be used, to sum up, EV Experience powered by LG Energy Solution Wrocław – an electromobility show that took place on 24-25 June at the Modlin Circuit in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. During the event, everyone could see for themselves that emission-free mobility is not only beneficial to the environment but also offers unique travel comfort, excellent performance and ultimate driving pleasure.

“Electromobility is a trend in motoring that amounts to a revolution, the biggest since the turn of the 20th century when the steam engine was superseded by the combustion one. Today, history has come full circle and it is the combustion engine that is gradually being pushed out by the electric one – a technologically simply better product, more economical and meeting the expectations of a 21st-century consumer,” stresses Maciej Mazur, CEO of PSPA.

The two-day EV Experience powered by LG Energy Solution Wrocław event was full of attractions, including the possibility of testing practically all-electric cars and micro mobiles available on the Polish market, such as e-scooters, e-scooters and e-bikes. On the vast area of the Modlin circuit near Warsaw, the largest automotive corporations have prepared their expositions, presenting the latest models of zero-emission means of transport and manufacturers of electric batteries and other devices forming the electromobility infrastructure.

“Interest in electric cars in Poland is constantly growing and this is an extremely positive signal for our entire market. Last year, almost twice as many electric passenger vehicles were registered as in 2020 and almost four times as many as in 2019,” Maciej Mazur points out.

“Events such as EV Experience powered by LG Energy Solution Wrocław show that electromobility is not a market niche, but a topic that literally electrifies Poles. Our ambition is to show that electromobility already allows you to move around the country seamlessly,” he adds.

The event organisers reminded us that the results of research monitoring the attitude of Polish consumers towards zero-emission vehicles are encouraging. The “New Mobility Barometer 2021/22” prepared by PSPA shows that already every third Pole is realistically considering the purchase of an electric car or a plug-in hybrid (in 2017, only 12 per cent of respondents made such a declaration). In turn, 40 per cent of us are convinced of the positive impact of electric vehicles on the climate and environment (compared to 8 per cent in 2017).

The event was organised by the EV club Polska Foundation and the Polish Alternative Fuels Association (PSPA), WP Autokult, while the Title Partner was LG Energy Solution Wrocław.
