“In the Odesa region, the dismantling of rubble after the Russian attack on Serhiivka is underway. Three missiles hit an ordinary, residential building, a nine-storey building in which no one hid any weapons, military equipment or ammunition (…) It was a simple house, about 160 civilians. It was inhabited by ordinary people, civilians. The recreation centre was also destroyed by this strike – an absolutely typical object for the seaside area. I emphasize: this is a deliberate, purposeful Russian terror, not some mistakes or an accidental missiles strike,” Zelensky said in a video posted on Telegram and Facebook before midnight.
As he pointed out, there were 21 people dead and about 40 wounded but the numbers had been changing all day. The death toll has been increasing.

“Simultaneously with the missiles at Serhiivka, missiles were fired at Zatoka. 12 missiles hit Mykolaiv at one – various objects in the city. It's only one night and morning,” he added.
While everybody was focused on the Odessa region, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation dropped phosphorous bombs on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island.
"The command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation does not abide by even its declarations of ‘good will’. Around 18:00 today (July 1 - ed.), two Su-30 planes of the Aerospace Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conducted two airstrikes using phosphorous bombs on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island from the Bilbek airfield, having previously claimed that they have ‘completed’ their mission there,” Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi wrote on Facebook and posted a video related to that attack.
