The Polish basketball players lost 93:83 against Germany in the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday. After the defeat in Bremen, the white-reds lost their chance to play at the World Cup.

The Polish basketball players ended their struggle in the World Championship qualifiers. Last Thursday, they defeated Israel in Lublin, and in the match of "to be or not to be," they lost to the leaders of the group - Germany.

Germany - Poland 93:83 (19:19, 21:17, 17:20, 36:27)

Another match lost today was that of the Polish volleyball women’s team. The Polish women, after a very good first set, seemed to have lost motivation and lost the next three.

The fourth set admittedly started very well. The Poles fought for every point and tried to catch up until the very end.  However, a large number of mistakes did not allow Poland to win the set and fight in the tie-break. Eventually, the Poles lost to Bulgaria 1:3.

Bulgaria - Poland 3:1 (22-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-22)
