Festival of Honey in Piotrków Trybunalski

Honey is a syrupy liquid that honeybees make from plant nectar. It is loved worldwide for its sweetness and unique flavour. People add it to many dishes, including Polish recipes. Some people say that Poland is a ‘land of milk and honey’. Today, almost in one in four households in Poland honey is consumed at least as often as once a week, and 7% of Poles claim to eat honey every day. Therefore, a sweet event called the Festival of Honey will take place in Piotrków Trybunalski on Sunday, July 24. This year, it will be 8th edition of the festival where people have a chance to admire and taste the fruits of the hive bee’s work.

During the festival, visitors will be able to buy honey in various forms and products with high-quality honey at the stands. There will also be honey tasting from the city apiary.

Traditionally, the fair will be accompanied by artistic performances that will start at 2 p.m. The performances will be accordingly: the City Brass Band (2:00 p.m.), the Tkacze Band (2:30 p.m.) and others: Passionists (3:00 p.m.), Folk Feast (3:30 p.m.), Beads (4:00 p.m.), Nad Wolbórka (4:30 p.m.) , Moderato (17.00), Piotrkowian (17.30) and Kasztelania Swing Band (18.00).
