The policemen decided to check the driver of the Ford, driving along Kisielińska Road. However, the result of their operation was different than they had planned, but they were not surprised. The driver of the Ford, who turned out to be a 43-year-old resident of Zielona Góra, at the sight of a police car and light and sound signals not only did not stop but also attempted to escape. Uniformed officers immediately set off in pursuit and informed the officer on duty about the situation.
The driver, however, did not get far and was apprehended by police officers just a few minutes later. Unfortunately, while fleeing, he drove into a housing estate car park, where he hit a parked Volkswagen. The man tried to flee on foot, but uniformed officers immediately caught up with him. The reason for the escape was known to the police officers after examination and a database check. It turned out that the 43-year-old man had his driving licence revoked and was also driving under the influence of intoxicants.
The 43-year-old driver will answer for failing to stop for control and driving despite having his driving privileges revoked, as well as driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants. These offences are punishable by up to five years imprisonment under the Penal Code. The man will also answer for a collision he caused in a housing estate car park during his escape.
