The new school year will bring quite a few changes for students. The eighth-grade exam has been permanently moved to May and without a fourth subject. There are new school subjects - history and the present (HiT) and defence education, including shooting training as part of safety education.

Classes in 2022 will run until 23 December, and in turn, students will have a longer Christmas break. In January, in turn, winter holidays will begin for the first five voivodeships. Pupils in the Lublin, Łódź, Podkarpackie, Pomeranian and Silesian voivodeships will have a rest from 16 January until 29 January. The next voivodeships, namely Podlaskie and Warmian-Masurian, will begin their winter break on 23 January and end on 5 February. The Kujawy-Pomeranian, Lubusz, Lesser Poland, Świętokrzyskie and Greater Poland voivodeships begin their winter holidays on 30 January and end on 12 February, while the Lower Silesian, Masovian, Opole and West Pomeranian voivodeships will begin on 13 February and end on 26 February.  The winter holidays in each voivodship last two weeks.

Pupils can also look forward to a spring holiday break of a few days in April (6 - 11 April). After that, it will probably be a countdown to the next holidays, as the end of this school year is scheduled for 23 June 2023.

Good luck at school for all pupils!
