Volleyball Women's World Champs: Third consecutive victory!

The Polish national women’s volleyball team won its third match at the World Championships. The Poles fought until the very end and succeeded. Now, they are leading the group.

After an excellent match against Thailand (and Croatia a few days earlier), one could expect the third consecutive victory. The Polish team started calmly but confidently. After a few points, when both teams were playing point for point, the Poles started to play more precisely. They took the lead and kept it until the end of the set.

In the second set, the white and red team did not give any chances to South Korean players. Poles did their best to be as effective as possible. They had one weaker moment, but it lasted only a few minutes and then the white-and-red team started to gain more and more points.

In the third set, it is hard to keep concentration. Therefore, the Koreans came out to a lead, taking advantage of the white and red players’ mistakes. Fortunately, the Poles reacted immediately and scored six consecutive points (16:12). The last point was scored by Monika Fedusio.

On Thursday, Poland will face the Dominican Republic in Gdansk, who performed very well in the tournament.

    Poland – South Korea 3:0 (25:17, 25:18, 25:16)
