Polish export growth rate missed expectations

The Polish National Chamber of Commerce noted slower export growth than expected.

The Polish National Chamber of Commerce – KIG, has revealed that there was only small rise in Polish export growth. September tends to see a hike in orders of around 10% following the slower summer months. However, this autumn has seen just a 2.7% rise, which KIG attributes to the deceleration of economic growth for Poland’s European partners. They also point to the surprisingly warm weather in September. Despite the recent export figures not meeting expectations the overall forecast is positive, with KIG anticipating a 5.9% growth this year and 7.6% in 2019.
