    The GRAND FINALE OF XX CHOPIN AND FRIENDS FESTIVAL CELEBRATION OF WOMEN

    The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York invites to the GRAND FINALE OF XX CHOPIN AND FRIENDS FESTIVAL CELEBRATION OF WOMEN In light of the Centenary of Women’s Right to Vote in Poland, which will take place on Sunday 18 Nov 2018 – 7:30 PM at Carnegie Hall.

    The concert will feature Bronze Medal Winner and Audience Favorite of the last International Chopin Competition, Kate Liu, American Pianist Andrew J. Yang, deemed by The Examiner as “a prodigy, [running] the emotional gamut from brooding introspection to manic exuberance”, three sopranos prof. Iwona Kowalkowska of the Poznan Academy of Music, Katarzyna Sperczynska and Majeste Pearson, from American Musical Theatres, Film and TV, as well as Japanese cellist Junko Fujii and Polish-Canadian violinist Nadia Monczak from the PANDEIA Ensemble.

    Program will include masterpieces of Polish classical music, dedicated to or composed by women, alongside famous female arias and songs from Opera and Broadway. Music will be completed by inspirational words of Polish women who left their mark on history read by film and theatre actress Liliana Komorowska.
