Poles celebrate Holy Saturday
Today is Holy Saturday - the last day of Holy Week, which precedes the Feast of the Resurrection. It is also a time of reflection and mourning for the crucified Jesus Christ. Traditionally in the Polish Catholic Church on this day, we bless our Easter food baskets and visit the Holy Sepulcher.

In his short speech, the head of the government compared the "political class wanting a better Poland" to the national football team. "They are trying, they are fighting and it is - I would say - getting better (...), but something is still missing. There is no good cooperation," said Morawiecki.

Vote of no-confidence fails
The opposition’s attempt to dismiss Speaker of the Parliament Ryszard Terlecki and three government ministers, Michał Dworczyk, Jacek Sasin and Mariusz Kamiński, has failed. The ruling coalition managed to maintain a united front in the voting process and overcame the very narrow margin which grants it a parliamentary majority. The vote was preceded by an unusually heated debate.

Cyber attack on Poles. It's about 4,350 e-mail addresses. The trace leads to the Russian services
"The Internal Security Agency and the Military Counterintelligence Service determined that the list of the targets of the social engineering attack included at least 4,350 e-mail addresses belonging to Polish citizens. The services have information about the connections between the aggressors and the activities of the Russian secret services," reported the spokesman of the minister coordinator of special services, Stanisław Żaryn.

Strategic investments of the New Order
The Bank of the National Economy and the Prime Minister’s Chancellery are launching a Government Fund named “Polish Order: Strategic Investments Program”. The financial aid is designed to stimulate investment in regions all over Poland. One of the main speakers at the World Holocaust Forum to be held at the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem this Thursday will be the Russian President Vladimir Putin. New ID cards in Poland
Poland will have new national identity cards, which will be issued to people whose current ID cards expire on August 2nd, 2021, or to those who turn 18 this year. It will take 10 years to replace all the IDs with new ones. The new national identity cards will include fingerprints and handwritten signatures of the owner.
