The 24th Olympic Picnic in Warsaw

On 27 May, Warsaw’s Kępa Potocka Park will host the 24th Olympic Picnic – one of the largest and most important sports and leisure events in Poland, and possibly in Europe. This time we will be setting off for Paris, where the Olympic Games will be held next year.

This year’s Olympic Picnic, traditionally organised in Warsaw’s Kępa Potocka Park, promises to be a unique event. On that day, the park will become the Olympic centre of Poland, where the future of sport will meet history and the enthusiasm of participants will be combined with the experience of Polish Olympic medallists. The Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl), in cooperation with the Polish Sports Associations, is preparing more than 50 sports zones offering more than 100 competitions and a variety of sports attractions. There will be a unique opportunity to meet the legends of Polish sport, winners of Olympic laurels.

The event is a unique opportunity for participants, who will have the chance to have their photo taken with their favourite sportsmen and sportswomen, get an autograph or even compete against them in a direct fight. Such encounters do not happen often, so take the challenge and try to beat your champion. Are you ready for a sporting challenge?

The year 2024 will be special for Polish sport, as it is the 100th anniversary of the Polish Olympic Team’s first start in the Olympic Games. It was in Paris, in 1924, that our athletes won the first Olympic medals for Poland: silver in track cycling and bronze in equestrianism. Now, 100 years later, Poland will once again move to Paris to celebrate the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad.

The pre-Olympic year will be a time of exciting preparations and anticipation for the unique event that will begin on 26 July 2024, when the Olympic torch will be lit. The Paris Olympics will have a special meaning for the Poles, being both a tribute to our athletes who started our Olympic history 100 years ago.

The Polish Olympic Team has a rich tradition and unforgettable successes on the international stage. Our sporting legends are becoming icons, inspiring successive generations to achieve their dreams and raise the bar in sport. The Olympic Picnic in Kępa Potocka Park will be an excellent opportunity to take a closer look at the history and achievements of our athletes.

to take a closer look at the history and achievements of Polish sport and to establish direct contact with the champions.

Sport is not only about competition, it is also a unifying force for society. There are countless opportunities to try different disciplines, develop your skills and, above all, be inspired by the champions.
