    POHiD: No risk of food shortage in Poland

    The continuity of production and delivery of goods to stores will be maintained – the Polish Trade and Distribution Organization (Polska Organizacja Handlu i Dystrybucji – POHiD) assured today in a press release. There is no risk of food shortage in the country, the goods will be replenished on a regular basis.

    “We appeal to consumers not to succumb to panic or false information, as well as not to crowd in stores and maintain safety rules,” stated Renata Juszkiewicz, the president of POHiD. On Friday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that the activities of shopping malls will be limited. He explained that grocery stores and pharmacies as well as laundries and drugstores will be open in them. It was also decided to suspend all restaurants, clubs, pubs, bars, casinos and other entertainment venues. Restaurants may provide take-out services. 16 international trade networks are members of POHiD.
