    20th Cracovia Maraton in Krakow

    The Cracovia Marathon, held in Krakow, is a prominent running event in Poland and among the largest in the country. A staggering 6,000 runners from over 50 nations participated in the marathon, challenging themselves to complete the royal distance of 42.195 kilometers.


    The 20th edition of the Cracovia Marathon marked the climax of a two-day sports festival that kicked off on April 22 in Błonia. The festivities commenced with the Cracovia Inline Skating Marathon, covering a distance of 42.195 kilometers, which began at 9:00 am. Later, at 12:30 pm, the 16th Mini Cracovia Marathon took place, featuring a symbolic 4.2 km route for adults and youth. These events have been a regular feature of the Cracovia Marathon since 2006.

    Men:

    1st place – Lani Rutto (Kenya);

    2nd place – David Kiprono Metto (Kenya);

    3rd place – Ezekiel Kipkorir (Kenya)

    Mateusz Mrówka was the fastest Polish man that took part in the marathon. He scored 7th place.

    Women:

    1st place – Lina Kiriliuk (Lithuania);

    2nd place – Ruth Chemisto Matebo (Kenya);

    3rd place – Ewa Jagielska (Poland)
