He can explain himself from accusations that are completely irrational and create a certain soap opera series that appears in one of the newspapers, said Piotr Ćwik the presidential minister on Wednesday. “Daniel Obajtek is not afraid to show his fortune,” Ćwik admitted in an interview with editor Michał Rachoń.
Late Tuesday evening, several internet portals – including Niezalezna.pl – published details of the assets of the president of PKN Orlen, Daniel Obajtek. Obajtek was to earn almost PLN 7 million in the years 1998-2020, while he was to spend less than PLN 6 million on the purchase of over 30 properties.
Ćwik was asked on TVP Info how he assessed Obajtek’s disclosure of components of his property.
“Daniel Obajtek is not afraid to show his fortune, which means that he can explain the allegations – and this is what happens – that are made by some media and publishing houses,” said Ćwik.
“This shows how eager President Obajtek is to show the public that he is a man who can explain himself for allegations that are completely irrational and create a soap opera series that appears in one of the newspapers,” said the deputy head of the President’s Office.
