There is an indictment against Magdalena K., her partner Mariusz Z. and 10 members of a gang of Cracovia fans, which the woman allegedly led. The woman is charged with, among other things, smuggling and trafficking in drugs, obstructing criminal proceedings, making false statements and imposing others to do the same, money laundering.
The investigation against Magdalena K. was conducted by the Małopolska Regional Division of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Cracow. The woman will answer before the District Court in Cracow for, among others, managing an organized criminal group of pseudo football fans of the Cracovia sports club. The prosecutor also accused K. of drug smuggling and trafficking, obstruction of criminal proceedings, giving false testimony and imposing the same on others, money laundering by, among others, acquiring a luxury apartment and a Mercedes 200 CLA car. Magdalena K. was also charged with the misappropriation of a BMW M 6 car. If the court finds Magdalena K. guilty, she may face up to 15 years in prison.
On the defendant’s bench, next to K., will sit her partner, Mariusz Z. The man has already been accused of leading this criminal group, drug crimes and money laundering. However, in a recently concluded investigation, the prosecution has charged him with entirely new acts.
“Currently, the indictment covers the previous period of activity of a criminal group led, among others, by Mariusz Z. and his brother Adrian, as well as other revealed crimes, such as running a marijuana plantation, extorting car insurance based on fictitious road collisions and feint thefts of luxury cars such as Mercedes 600 SL, Audi A8, Audi RS 7, BMW 4, demanding a ransom for the return of a stolen Audi A5,” – reported the Press Department of PK.
Mariusz Z. is also accused of having “arranged” a postponement of his prison sentence by sending “a person with a serious spinal condition” for a medical examination of “, posing as him.
“Basing on the fabricated results, the defendant obtained further medical records. The forensic expert concluded that serving a prison sentence could cause health risks to the prisoner. Mariusz Z. did not serve his prison sentence until after his arrest, which occurred on December 15, 2017. He faces a penalty of up to 15 years imprisonment for the acts he is accused of,” – the National Prosecutor’s Office reported.
The main defendant in this case, Magdalena K., was wanted on a European Arrest Warrant and an Interpol Red Notice. The woman was arrested on 28 March last year, but she did not arrive in Poland until 20 November. First, the District Court in Banská Bystrica permitted her release to Poland, and then the permission was upheld by the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic. The extradition procedure took many months because K.’s defence requested political asylum and argued that the rule of law is violated in Poland, therefore the woman cannot expect a fair trial. K. also made two attempts to obtain from the District Court in Cracow a letter of arrest, which would allow her to answer in absentia until the final sentence is passed.
During the investigation, Magdalena K. did not admit her guilt.
The prosecution stated that the criminal group led by Magdalena K. was composed of members of the Cracovia club pseudo fans militia. K. managed a group of several dozen people who dealt in, among other things, marijuana and cocaine. As tvn24.pl informed, the woman became a member of the criminal group because she was a partner of its leader, Mariusz Z. According to the portal’s findings, K. was responsible for settling drug transactions. She later took “command.”
“The group also committed acts against life and health, often with dangerous tools such as knives and machetes. In this way, they attacked pseudo football fans of one of the football clubs from Cracow and Łódź. Their activities were characterized by a high degree of organization and subordination,” transferred by PK.
According to investigators, Magdalena K.’s gang smuggled from the Netherlands to Poland 5.5 tons of marijuana worth 88 million PLN and 120 kg of cocaine worth approximately 4.3 million euro.
