On August 6 last year, President Andrzej Duda began his second term. Since then, it has signed 141 bills, submitted 5 legislative initiatives, and paid 13 foreign visits – summed up the President’s Office.
Among the activities of Duda, the President’s Office also mentioned his commitment to looking for solutions to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic: promoting vaccination against COVID-19, signing the act on establishing the Strategic Reserves Agency, or chairing Cabinet Councils devoted to the strategy of the state’s actions in the fight against the pandemic.
According to the President’s Office, the fight against the pandemic was also the subject of numerous talks between the president and the leaders of other countries, including with the presidents of the V4 countries or with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
During the first year of his second term in office, the president paid 13 visits abroad – incl. in Ukraine, Turkey, Lithuania, and Japan. He also had 23 telephone conversations with foreign partners. On the other hand, 8 visits of heads of state and heads of government took place in Poland. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions, the president also participated in many international events remotely – indicates the Office. In April, the president inaugurated the work of the International Policy Office.
