    Warsaw – Palace of Culture and Science

    Pałac Kultury i Nauki (Palace of Culture and Science) is the second tallest building in Poland with 44 floors. There is the View Terrace on the 30th floor (called also XXX Floor), at the level of 114 m above ground.

    The construction work of Pałac Kultury i Nauki (PKiN) started on May 1, 1952, and it was completed on July 21, 1995. By 2021, it was the tallest building in Poland, with a total height of 237 meters (778 ft). In 2021, a neomodern office building complex called Varso Tower is under construction and has already become the tallest building in Poland with a total height of 310 meters (1,020 ft). 

     

    The PKiN was designed by Soviet Russian architect – Lev Rudnev. The building includes 3,288 rooms, various public and cultural institutions such as cinemas, libraries, sports clubs, theatres. It has been enlisted in the Registry of Objects of Cultural Heritage. 

     

    Inside the PKiN there are many exhibitions, events, and tourist attractions. For example, the Viewing Terrace on the XXXth Floor is open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM and on Friday night from 8 PM to 10 PM.
