National Arabian Horse Show this week!

150 Polish horses will take part in the 43rd National Purebred Arabian Horse Show, which will start on Friday at the stud in Janów Podlaski (Lubelskie voivodeship). On Sunday, 16 Arabian horses will be auctioned at the 52nd Pride of Poland auction.

The 43rd National Purebred Arabian Horse Show will last three days. The highest-ranked Arabians will be awarded the championship titles and the Best in Show Pure Polish award on Sunday.

This year, a record number of 150 horses was entered for the championship shows, 69 of which come from state studs, and the rest belong to private owners.

“It delights because it shows that the private sector is developing,” said Tomasz Chalimoniuk, the President of the Polish Horse Racing Club, which is the organizer of the event.

Horses entered for the show will be judged in 11 classes, differentiated by the age and sex of the animals. On Sunday, the championships for the best horses will be awarded, which will be selected by an international jury. For the first time, the Best in Show Pure Polish award will be presented, sponsored by the Polish Arabian Horse Farmers Association.

“This is the first step to start promoting the Pure Polish brand in Poland and to make it more and more recognizable in the world,” said Krzysztof Poszepczyński, President of the Polish Arabian Horse Breeders Association, at the conference in June.
