“We must feel and be sure that Poland is an important, attractive, and interesting participant in the international debate. We must be sure of our importance and our place in the world,” said Professor Krzysztof Szczerski during the convention of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs from the United States and Canada.
The 8th Congress of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs of the USA and Canada began on Friday in Savannah, Georgia. Clubs from Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, Boston, Massachusetts, and Connecticut arrived.
The guest of the second day of the convention was, among others, the Polish Ambassador to the UN, Professor Krzysztof Szczerski.
“The position I have now, the Polish representative to the UN, gives us a global perspective on Poland’s position. We must feel and be sure that Poland is an important, attractive, and interesting participant in the international debate,” said Prof. Szczerski.
As he stressed, Poland is today in the group of countries that live “reasonably well and are in a secure position also thanks to our efforts”.
“There are very many difficult trials and very serious conflicts going on in the world today. Poland is a country which, looking globally, is doing well if we look at the pandemic and how it affected the world economy, the world order,” he stressed.
The three-day convention of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs in Savannah will end on Sunday with a holy mass and a visit to the General Kazimierz Pulaski Memorial.
