Gdansk will become the international capital of breakdance

Qualifications for the event, which will take place on Saturday (6th November 2021) in Ergo Arena in Gdańsk, took place in over 30 countries. Poland is the host of the World Final of the most prestigious breakdance competition. 18. edition of Red Bull BC One will attract the best of the discipline to our country.

Dancers (b-boys and b-girls) will compete in 1-on-1 duels, cheered on by an international audience gathered at the venue and watching the broadcast. Among those fighting for the title of World Champion are two Poles – b-girl Paulina from Wroclaw and b-boy Thomaz from Warsaw.

Breakdance is undoubtedly the most spectacular form of dance, but also a sport that will make its debut at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. An indispensable element of breaking is rivalry, and its dance battles performed by the best players in the world can be watched this Saturday at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk.

This is an unprecedented event in our country – since 2004, the Red Bull BC One World Final has already taken place in Brazil, Japan, France, and the USA, and now it will be held in Poland.

The fight for the championship belt will be held in a knockout system and will be entered by the top 16 women and top 16 men. Paulina Starus (b-girl Paulina) and Tomasz Domanski (b-boy Thomaz), will perform on their native land.

Whether our representatives will be joined by more will be determined on Thursday during the “Last Chance Cypher” for national winners. Saturday’s event will be preceded by dance workshops, panel discussions, and the aforementioned “Last Chance Cypher” taking place in the Shakespeare Theatre.

The events will be broadcast. For more information: Red Bull BC One. The event has received honorary patronage from the Polish Olympic Committee.
