Minister Rau in Vienna to inaugurate Polish chairmanship of OSCE

On January 13, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau will attend a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), where he will officially present the program and priorities of Poland’s OSCE chairmanship.

During the visit, the Head of Polish diplomacy, who will serve as OSCE Chairman until the end of 2022, will also hold a meeting with the heads of field missions and OSCE autonomous institutions.

The Permanent Council is an OSCE body that meets weekly at the level of Permanent Representatives of OSCE Participating States. Several times a year, meetings are held at the foreign minister-level. The first Council meeting of the new year serves to present the program of the next presidency.
