Firefighters intervened most frequently in the voivodeships of Wielkopolska, West Pomerania, Lubuskie, and Lower Silesia.

“On Thursday from midnight to 6 a. m., we had a total of 1407 wind reports. Most 556 in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, 241 in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, 211 in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, and 136 in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship”, Brigg Kierzkowski explained.

“There are a lot of incidents involving fallen trees, broken branches, and damaged roofs,” he said.

Polish Storm Hunters – Skywarn Polska has updated the weather data in Poland half an hour after midnight.

“Over Europe, a strong zone circulation and migration of active and deep low-pressure areas from west to east has begun. Such a low pressure will shape the weather in the Scandinavian and Baltic countries practically all Thursday”, we read on their website.
