With the beginning of the tourist season, the MPK group brings back historical means of transport in the Poznan Tourist Lines project. On weekends and holidays, tourists in Poznan will be able to commute in trams and buses that were put out of use. Tourist Lines will work until September 25th.
Tourist Lines lead through the most visited places in Poznan, such as the New Zoo, the Old Town and the Museum of Tank Troops.
Historical trams of the 0 line start their course at the Old Zoo and drive the passengers around the town. When the weather allows it, the oldest electrical trams – of the H line, introduced in 1898 – will be put on the railways.
There are also two historical bus lines: 100, which starts at the Poznan Glowny Station and drives to the New Zoo, and 102 (Saturdays only), from the Museum of Tank Troops to the Martyrology of Greater Poland Museum in Fort VII, where the first concentration camp in Poland was placed.
The usage of trams is ticketed, and like in the old times, they are sold only by conductors. You can find more details and the timetables here.
