Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak stressed that the Polish army must be strong to deter a potential attacker. “Poland’s security is priceless,” he said.
“Since I became the Minister of National Defence, we have been strengthening, developing and modernising the armed forces,” he emphasised in an interview with the “Super Express” newspaper Błaszczak.
He pointed out that “the war in Ukraine shows that our views of Russia’s imperial ambitions were not horrors, but a realistic assessment of the situation.”
“The Polish army must be strong to deter a potential attacker. This is a necessity, and that is why we have decided to set up a fund to support the armed forces, which will provide additional resources and speed up the modernisation of our armed forces,” the Minister said.
