Robert Lewandowski is now officially a Barcelona footballer and his contract will run for four seasons, the Spanish vice-champion announced on Tuesday evening. As added, the striker, who has so far featured for Bayern Munich, cost €45 million plus €5 million in variables.
Lewandowski had already passed medical tests at Barcelona’s training camp in Florida but had been training individually until now.

The ‘Pride of Catalonia’ have already officially introduced him on their website and social media. “Welcome to the Club” – tweeted Barcelona, posting videos and a picture of the almost 34-year-old striker in his new team jersey.

“Lewy” had already said at the national team training camp on 30 May that his history with Bayern was over. He had been at the Munich club, where he had a contract valid until June 2023, since 2014.
