Fantastic news from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki – Poland has selected the U.S. government and Westinghouse as its nuclear energy partner, US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski wrote on Twitter on Friday.
Prime Minister Morawiecki tweeted earlier on Friday that after recent fruitful talks with US Vice President Kamala Harris and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, he confirmed the implementation of the nuclear project with proven and safe technology from Westinghouse Nuclear. The head of the government announced that the council of ministers would adopt a resolution in the scope on Wednesday.

Government spokesman Piotr Müller stressed that the acceptance of the US offer was a very important moment. “Nuclear energy will be an important element in Poland’s energy security,” he assessed.
