    “Marsz, marsz Polonia” song in a special performance by the Mazowsze ensemble on the occasion of Independence Day

    On the occasion of National Independence Day, the State Folk Ensemble of Song and Dance Mazowsze recorded a special performance of the song “Marsz, marsz Polonia.”

    One year ago, the Tadeusz Sygietyński State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble “Mazowsze” recorded a special version of the uprising song “Marsz, marsz Polonia”. The recording was posted on the band’s profile on the social networking site – Facebook.

    The song was written during the January Uprising of 1863 as Czachowski’s March. The originators of the song were soldiers from Galicia. During the First World War, anonymous authors added further stanzas to the song. It gained great popularity in the Polish Legions.
