Let’s remember about safety. If we don’t have to, don’t go on further trips. Let’s follow weather forecasts and warnings – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appealed on Facebook yesterday. He also referred to the tragic event in Bukowina Tatrzańska and wrote: “Our thoughts and prayers are with relatives of the Victims”.
Storm Sabine hit Poland on Monday with winds of up to 100 km/h. As a result of violent storms on Monday, six people were injured and two were killed. In Bukowina Tatrzańska, a gusty wind ripped the roof off a ski equipment rental shop. The construction fell on four people. Two of them died – a 15-year-old girl and her 52-year-old mother. Two more people are injured. “As a result of Sabina’s strike, firefighters intervened across the country more than 3,200 times yesterday,” the Prime Minister wrote on Facebook. He also informed that he was in constant contact with the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Mariusz Kamiński. “The minister assured me that the services subordinate to the Ministry were ready to take actions related to the removal of the effects of a strong wind. I thank all the officers for their hard work and extraordinary devotion,” pointed out the Prime Minister.
