The Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is an annual meeting of foreign ministers of OSCE participating states or their representatives. This year’s Council will be held in Lodz on 1-2 December.
The Ministerial Council is the central decision-making and governing body of the OSCE. The annual meeting is an opportunity for the Foreign Ministers to review and assess the security situation in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian area, as well as the organization's work in all its fields of activity. The annual meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the 57 OSCE participating States will be held at the invitation of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Poland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau and will take place in Łódź, Poland. Ministers or their plenipotentiaries from participating states and OSCE cooperation partners will review and assess the security situation in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian area in the politico-military, economic and environmental, as well as human dimensions over the past 12 months and set goals and mechanisms of action for the upcoming year. In 2023, the OSCE will be chaired by North Macedonia. (gov.pl)
