Passengers from China and Italy who will come to Poland will have their temperature measured, starting Tuesday – the spokesman of the State Airports company (Państwowe Porty Lotnicze – PPL) Piotr Rudzki said.
He explained that all travelers from these directions would be submitted to the procedure, and after finding the elevated temperature, a medical history will be carried out. Further decisions will be made jointly with the border sanitary inspector. On Monday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had a meeting with the Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Inspector and Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, as well as a briefing at the Government Security Center with province governors and provincial sanitary inspectors regarding the epidemic of the coronavirus. “Everything that needs to be done at the moment to prevent this virus from appearing and spreading in Poland is being done,” Morawiecki assured. The coronavirus outbreak has spread to 25 countries and territories around the world, including several European ones, such as Italy, Germany, France and Finland. Apart from China, the country where the virus spreads the fastest, is South Korea.
