The Diamond League returns to the Silesian Stadium this Sunday, bringing fans unforgettable emotions. There are as many as 19 competitions on the event’s programme. The men’s 100m run will feature three medallists from the 2022 World Championships – Fred Kerley, Marvin Bracy and Trayvon Brommel. In the women’s 100m run, Ewa Swoboda will compete against Sha’Carri Richardson and Shericka Jackson. In the 400 metres, Natalia Kaczmarek will face world champion Marileidy Paulino. There is also no shortage of excitement in the middle distances, where Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who recently set a European record in the 1500m run, will face other strong competitors.
The high jump will feature Mutaz Essa Barshim and Gianmarco Tamberi, both Olympic champions who continue their journey together after writing fair play history in Japan. There will also be a number of talented female jumpers at the competition, such as Yaroslava Mahuczych and Eleanor Patterson.
Not to forget the throwing events, where the throwers have the chance to showcase their skills. Paweł Fajdek and Wojciech Nowicki will have the opportunity to compete against the best athletes. In the shot put we will also see competition between Ryan Crouser, Joe Kovacs and Tom Walsh.
