Krakow High School Student Achieves Unprecedented Success at International Subject Olympiads

Krakow’s V High School takes immense pride in the outstanding achievements of one of its students, Michał Lipiec, who has made history by becoming a triple winner at the International Subject Olympiads. Competing in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, Michał clinched the gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively, in Zurich (Switzerland), Tokyo, and Chiba (Japan). This remarkable accomplishment marks the first time in the decades-long history of nationwide subject Olympiads that a student has represented the Polish national team and won medals in all three subjects within the same year.

Michał Lipiec’s journey of success started at the International Chemistry Olympiad, where he secured three medals – gold, silver, and bronze – in previous editions. However, this year’s triumph at the International Subject Olympiads has elevated his achievements to an unparalleled level. Michał’s exceptional performance has not only brought honour to his school and country but has also drawn attention to his remarkable talent on the international stage.

While Michał’s success at the International Subject Olympiads is commendable, his academic pursuits do not stop there. Despite being a high school student, Michał is already embarking on advanced research under the guidance of scientists from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the renowned Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen.
