    Estimated reading time: 1 minute

November 11th holds a special place in the hearts of Poles as they celebrate National Independence Day. In a recent Facebook post, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki likened independence to love, emphasizing the need to cherish, respect, and fight for it daily through actions, not just words.

The Prime Minister highlighted Poland’s 123-year absence from the world map, emphasizing that it was through the sacrifice and struggle of their ancestors that they regained independence on November 11, 1918. He urged citizens to contribute to shaping Poland’s ongoing history by fulfilling their roles, whether as farmers in Podlasie, young mothers in Elbląg, entrepreneurs in Śląsk, teachers in Poznań, or doctors in Kraków.

Acknowledging the continuous effort required for a better future, Morawiecki encouraged everyone to be everyday heroes and builders of the nation’s future. On this day of remembrance, he called for unity, urging people to celebrate what unites rather than divides.

As the nation honors past heroes, the Prime Minister declared a commitment to being heroes in everyday life, contributing to a strong and united Republic. The call is to celebrate the day joyfully with family and friends, adorned in the national colors.
