    Dominik Marczuk Shines in CIES Rankings as Top U23 Playmaker

    In the latest CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies) rankings, Polish talent Dominik Marczuk of Jagiellonia Białystok has secured a notable position among the world’s top U23 footballers. The analysis focused on players below 23 years old who played at least 720 minutes in 73 leagues worldwide, evaluating their key passes – plays leading to clear goal-scoring opportunities.


    Impressive Performance

    Marczuk claimed the 8th spot globally, averaging 1.29 key passes per match, surpassing renowned stars like Jude Bellingham. The Real Madrid midfielder creates 0.6 key passes per 90 minutes, highlighting Marczuk’s exceptional playmaking prowess. Johan Bakayoko of PSV Eindhoven claimed the top spot with 1.85 key passes per 90 minutes, followed by Christos Tzolis and Franck Surdez.

    In the current Ekstraklasa season, Marczuk leads the league with 6 assists, showcasing his significant impact. Including penalty situations drawn by him, the 20-year-old boasts a total of 9 assists and has also found the net twice.
