In a thrilling final match held in Szeligi near Warsaw, Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki secured their 10th Polish championship title in table tennis by defeating Dekorglass Działdowo 3-2. The defending champions triumphed after an intense four-hour match, which was decided by the concluding doubles game.
A Close Competition
Dekorglass Działdowo began the final match strongly, taking a 2-0 lead. Danish player Jonathan Groth defeated Miłosz Redzimski 3-0, and Japanese player Kaii Konishi won 3-1 against Marek Badowski. However, Dartom Bogoria fought back, with Greek player Gionis Panagiotis overcoming Jakub Dyjas, and Badowski defeating Groth 3-1.
The championship was ultimately decided in the doubles match, where Redzimski and Japanese player Jin Takuya emerged victorious over Dyjas and Konishi, winning 3-1. This victory secured Dartom Bogoria’s 10th national title, their eighth since the establishment of the Superliga in 2009.
Bronze Medals and Relegation
Bronze medals were awarded to the losing semi-finalists, Petralana TTS Polonia Bytom and Polski Cukier Gwiazda Bydgoszcz, as the match for third place was not played. Meanwhile, Palmiarnia ZKS Zielona Góra and Poltarex Pogoń Lębork were relegated from the Superliga.
