    Poland’s Olympians Ready for Paris 2024

    Poland’s Olympic athletes gathered at the Jan Paweł II Olympic Center in Warsaw to take their oaths before heading to the 2024 Paris Summer Games. President Andrzej Duda conveyed his best wishes, recognizing their immense dedication and hard work that earned them a place in the national team.

    A Century of Olympic Excellence

    President Duda celebrated the 100th anniversary of Poland’s Olympic history, recalling the nation’s first participation in the 1924 Summer Games. From a modest team of 81 athletes to the present-day squad, Poland has secured 298 medals in Summer Olympics. Duda expressed confidence that the current team will add to this legacy, aiming for a golden finish.

    Highlighting the essence of the Olympic Games, President Duda quoted Pierre de Coubertin, emphasizing that participation and fair play are paramount. He urged athletes to honor their competitors and approach their challenges with dignity, striving for excellence through noble competition.

    President Duda also extended his gratitude to the coaches, medical staff, and support teams, acknowledging their crucial roles in the athletes’ journeys. He recognized their unwavering efforts and collaboration with athletes’ families and mentors, which culminated in this prestigious event.
