During the third stage of the Tour de Pologne, tragedy struck as two serious accidents occurred, resulting in two cyclists being transported to the hospital. The stage, which ran from Wałbrzych to Duszniki Zdrój, saw both Nicolas Debeaumarche and Pepijn Reinderik involved in harrowing incidents approximately 50 kilometers from the finish line.
Debeaumarche veered off the course, landing in a roadside ditch near a concrete culvert, while shortly afterward, Reinderik also crashed. Unlike Debeaumarche, the Dutch cyclist managed to get up on his own and even attempted to continue racing.
