    The Beauty of Polish Interwar Art

    The Polish art scene saw significant changes after Poland regained independence in 1918. National Liberation had been the style which had dominated for more than a century but now artists could focus more on the process of rebuilding the nation.

    The trend for artists to move out to the countryside and concentrate on depicting the landscape strengthened between the two world wars. Small the resorts such as Kazimerz Dolny and Zakopane became centers for artists.
