Explore Polish culture at Vilnius’ Christmas Bazaar, supporting charity with handcrafted goods and delicacies.
On November 30, the 22nd International Christmas Charity Bazaar brought together over 40 embassies, schools, and international organizations from across the globe at Vilnius Town Hall. Among the vibrant displays, the Polish booth, organized by the Embassy of Poland, stood out with its colorful offerings and warm atmosphere. The First Lady of Lithuania, Diana Nausėdienė, visited the booth, underscoring its importance.
Polish Treasures on Display
Visitors were delighted by the diverse selection of high-quality Polish products. From hand-painted glass ornaments and traditional Bolesławiec pottery to natural cosmetics and delightful toys for children, the booth showcased Polish craftsmanship at its best. Food enthusiasts enjoyed delicious sweets, cheeses, and cured meats, capturing the essence of Poland’s culinary traditions.
Supporting a Noble Cause
The event aimed to support charitable institutions, with all proceeds from the Polish booth going to eight selected public welfare organizations. Among the beneficiaries was the Blessed Father Michael Sopocko Hospice in Vilnius, the first of its kind in Lithuania, founded by Polish nun Michaela Rak.
A Festive Tradition Under Honorary Patronage
Organized by the International Women’s Association of Vilnius (IWAV) under the honorary patronage of Lithuania’s First Lady, the bazaar blended festive spirit with global goodwill, leaving a lasting impact on both participants and beneficiaries.
