Poland and Georgia face off in a Davis Cup World Group I playoff in Tbilisi on January 31-February 1.

Polish and Georgian Teams Set to Compete

From January 31 to February 1, the Polish tennis team will face Georgia in a World Group I Davis Cup playoff at the New Sport Palace in Tbilisi. The match will be played on a hard court with Dunlop Australian Open balls. Both teams are likely to compete without their highest-ranked players: Hubert Hurkacz (17th ATP) for Poland and Nikoloz Basilashvili (206th ATP) for Georgia.

Polish Team Lineup

The players representing LOTTO PZT Team are Kamil Majchrzak (Mera Warszawa), Maks Kaśnikowski, Jan Zieliński (both CKT Grodzisk Maz.), Karol Drzewiecki (WKS Grunwald Poznań), and Martyn Pawelski (KS Górnik Bytom). They have been selected by captain Mariusz Fyrstenberg to compete in the Davis Cup match against Georgia in Tbilisi. The team also includes Kamil Majchrzak (122 ATP), Maks Kaśnikowski (214 ATP), Martyn Pawelski (646 ATP), Jan Zieliński (25 ATP in doubles), and Karol Drzewiecki (96 ATP in doubles).
