Poland’s Energy Crisis: Rising Prices and Political Accusations

Poland’s energy crisis deepens as electricity prices soar. Jacek Sasin blames government mismanagement and warns of growing foreign influence. Read more on the political and economic impact.

Poland is facing an escalating energy crisis, with rising electricity costs burdening households. According to Jacek Sasin, a Law and Justice (PiS) MP, state-owned energy companies are struggling financially due to alleged government mismanagement. He claims that instead of addressing the crisis, the ruling party is focused on political revenge, investigating past leadership rather than ensuring economic stability. Meanwhile, energy firms reportedly continue making lavish purchases, such as expensive company cars, while Polish families struggle with soaring bills.

Political Tensions and Fears of Foreign Influence

Sasin also accuses Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government of undermining Poland’s sovereignty. He argues that state resources are being redirected towards political allies, citing the financial support for Jerzy Owsiak’s initiatives as a politically motivated payoff. Additionally, Sasin warns that if opposition figure Rafał Trzaskowski wins the presidency, Poland will become economically weaker and more dependent on foreign interests, particularly Germany. He urges Poles to recognize the consequences of current policies, emphasizing that leadership should prioritize national interests over political allegiances.
