On Wednesday, Nawrocki visited the Podlaskie region. The final stop of his visit was a meeting with residents at the Old Market Square in Łomża. Speaking about security, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) emphasized that today, “thanks to President Andrzej Duda, we still have a Polish-American alliance, which is being undermined by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the European elites in their anti-American rebellion.”
“Yes, we have a partner in the United States thanks to the United Right government, the stability of Poland’s national interest, and President Andrzej Duda. And we must take care of this alliance because the European Union is in chaos and is not ready to build its own armed forces. That is mere wishful thinking—it is an attempt to create a ‘NATO 2.0,’”
Nawrocki argued.
According to him, the most important issue concerning security is the defence of all of Poland, not just along the so-called Vistula line.
“There is only one Poland, and Poland cannot be defended along the Vistula line. Eastern Poland cannot be abandoned to cruel aggressors and barbarians. That was Donald Tusk’s strategy—to leave eastern Poland to potential invaders,” Nawrocki stated, calling it a “disgrace.”
“I assure you, I will never allow Poland’s security to be dependent on the Vistula line. We must defend all of Poland in our strategy, and this must be a clear cornerstone of the country’s security policy,”
he emphasized.
In his view, the elections on May 18 will be a direct clash between Donald Tusk and Karol Nawrocki.
“There is no alternative. This is not a contest involving Tusk’s deputy—Rafał Trzaskowski is merely a stand-in for Donald Tusk. The upcoming election will be a referendum on Tusk’s government, and we must win this referendum,”
Nawrocki declared.
