Poland together with Sweden will organize the Men’s Handball World Championship in 2023. In our country, an event of this rank will be held for the first time in history. “There is so little time,” says coach Patryk Rombel.
The handball world championships – with the participation of 32 teams – will be organized by Poland together with Sweden. For now, the national federation has revealed that one of the arenas will be the “Spodek” in Katowice, the other three Polish host cities will be announced by the end of the year.
“We have not had such an event in handball in Poland yet. 32 of the best teams in the world will perform. European Championships in 2016 showed that we know how to organize such events,” said President of the Poland Handball Federation (ZPRP) Henryk Szczepański.
The coach of our handball players, Patryk Rombel, complains about the lack of time to prepare for the event. He believes, however, that the White-Red can afford success in this event.
“We need to compensate for the lack of elimination games. There is too little time for preparation for the 2023 Men’s Handball World Championship,” said the coach.
