Cooperation Between Counterintelligence and Russia During PO Era: Bochenek Seeks US Ambassador’s Stance on Uncovered Documents

“Many times, Ambassador Mark Brzezinski has spoken on trivial matters; therefore, I am curious about his stance and assessment of this situation now,” said Rafał Bochenek (PiS) on Radio Jedynka. “Did the United States even know about this? Did they have any knowledge of such documents that were worked on by the Civic Platform (PO) administration?” he inquired.

As reported by TVP Info, in the latest episode of the documentary series “Reset,” previously unknown documents have been revealed, depicting the behind-the-scenes conversations between Polish and Russian intelligence services. They also show the consent given by the then-Prime Minister and leader of Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, for cooperation between the SKW and FSB.

    Bochenek described it as “outrageous.”

“It’s an outright scandalous decision. Cooperation with Russian special services, which have a fairly strong communist history, services that infiltrate various states, have been involved in various coups in many countries, inspired and fueled them, is truly outrageous,”

    Rafał Bochenek said.

“Especially considering that we are members of the North Atlantic Alliance, and as part of this cooperation, as it appears from the information presented yesterday, NATO information was supposed to be shared with Russian agents de facto,”

    said the PiS spokesperson.

He pointed out that “this was another blow to the foundations of our security, just like Tusk’s betrayal on the Vistula, where the eastern part of Poland was practically handed over to Russian occupation, while the west could have been even better targeted by potential invaders from the east, obviously referring here to the Russians.”

Bochenek also asked about the reaction of the US Ambassador to Poland, Mark Brzezinski.

“The Ambassador has frequently commented on trivial matters, so I am curious about his stance and assessment of this situation now. Because it really shows what Donald Tusk’s attitude towards Moscow and Putin was, and how he built relations with them. The question is whether the United States had any knowledge of this at all. Did they have any knowledge of such documents that were worked on by the Civic Platform administration?” Bochenek asked.
